Since the latest update from windows I no longer have any kind of function from my headphones. None. At all. I found them disabled and re-enabled them and then set them as default but I get ZERO sound. On top of that, the SteelSeries GG software won't even recognize the headset at all even though it is set as my default device in windows. Everything has worked wonderfully from the day I brought these headphones home until today. It is not often that I get the urge to physically assault someone but boy am I feeling it right now.

WMR Control panel came up when flying online, first time. Any idea how to turn it off? Was like it was going to sleep, I'll check the USB ports and make sure Power Management is off. S!

Salute, all I know this is a broad topic but would be interested in your input. I have two sets of Sony monitor type headphones which for a multitude of reasons aren't working for me as far as gaming goes. Mostly because they run Bluetooth on wireless and will only work plugged in on 3.5mm jack. No USB connectivity. Wires on right side for 3.5mm. Thats a big deal for me as far as plug locations and my setup. I have to use a Tack Clip Pro already on my left. I need that range of motion. It was working OK but now when I check 6 with either a button or on automatic it pops me outside and above the cockpit. Recenter puts me back in the cockpit. This is in DCS. I haven't checked IL2 yet. HP Reverb G2. Any ideas?

I spent a couple of hours with my Godfather (Snaggle) working on graphics and monitors and we put the new monitor through its paces and it is spectacular. For someone that doesn't like/want VR.... this is fantastic and it makes using your expensive hardware peripherals a snap. All this and we have not even pushed it so far as it is capable of 240hz refresh rate. It is truly immersive, I almost ducked when I closed the canopy on the 109. I got it for my driving sim... but now I have to get another one for the flight sim... I have been trying to think of a way to talk myself out of it and I can't come up with a reason.

I found the solution to not being able to move my cursor when the headset is on. Make sure "Manually switch using Windows logo key +y" is selected noted in red. Don't do the yellow. See attached.

He does a good job explaining how to set it up. I've modified the one I've been using for years and it's much better now. I was doing it all wrong...

Genossen, now that most of my real life problems are sorted I can finally focus on bringing my PC up to spec to be able to play with y'all again. I've decided to buy a SATA III SSD just for DCS. I have the OS installed on a Samsung 850 EVO M.2 (250 GB). Despite the heavy daily use it performs flawlessly. Should I get another Samsung drive or are there better alternatives? Thanks in advance. I'm sure some already know this, but I just discovered. If you already have an account on the IL2 website, it should already be tied to your Steam account and you can purchase FC Vol2 and have access to the airplanes at least when flying through Steam. One way to check that they are tied together is to change your name/id on the website then open IL2 on Steam. If your new name/id appears in the game then they are linked. Another lesson: don't put JG1 in the squadron column, otherwise your name will appear double like mine was last night (JG1JG1_Flyboy) lol

Kameraden, The cable on this unit is much longer and heavier that my Oculus unit. I picked up a ceiling suspension system as it was driving me mad catching on my seat. Hope this fixes the issue as it's pretty annoying. I picked up the Kiwi Design Silent VR cable management system, it means mounting it above myself but right now it's a big problem catching on my chair. Back to reading more to fine tune in DCS. S!

So, I finally got DCS updated to the latest version, then DCS would freeze on the authorization screen. So I deleted dcs from the computer, and reinstalled, everything loaded as normal. Then I installed all the modules, and dcs crashed again. So, I uninstalled DCS again, and starting to load each module individually, to see which one is crashing. So far, the Mig-19 is fine, and now installing Syria. This is gonna take awhile

Kameraden, For whatever reason, this patch messed up my VR Settings which had been running smoothly with my G2 Reverb. If I don't use HDR the game is very dark, could always counter with Gamma but for right now I'm using HDR. I've disabled Bloom in the startup.cfg I'm also experimenting with Sharpen versus MSAA x2, right now I'm using either or but not both. I was trying to shorten a long fight record into the necessary part. If I go to the flight record and choose 'EDIT', I see nothing with what I could edit the track. I made the record while flying in VR, could that be a reason? I can watch it without VR as a normal video, but also then (without VR) I can't edit anything. Anyone out here with a good advice?

As many of you know I have had my game freeze up sometimes requiring a restart and sometimes reboot. Now this was only happenning to me when I would unpause my Track IR. I like to pause it, reposition head in cockpit , or scan with mouse in level. When unpausing it game would sometimes lock up. Well, I believe I have resolved that issue, so far it seems.
