Kameraden, Never been happy with the slew axis on my Warthog, so I did this today and am happy to report it's well worth it. Going to come in handy for all sorts of functions in the pit, if you've got this throttle I recommend it. As during last weeks several pilots joined who are interested in Il2 BoX and/or FC => yet another good chance to fill up the portfolio of planes and scenarios: https://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/58774-leap-into-the-cockpit-sale-is-on-feb-17th-mar-9th-bobp-fc-and-more/ 😉

After FIF tomorrow, I would like to test the WWII tourney, EIF (Europe in Flames). Most of the pieces I have verified as working, so I want to load up a server with pilots and see what happens to the mission. Things to test 1. At mission start each side has a "Destroy enemy building" icons located at intersections of 4 sectors (ie: 2204, 2205, 2304, 2305). This indicates a target is located somewhere within 1 of those four sectors. The side only needs to fly near one of the targets, then they get a message "Enemy target has been found", and the old icon disappears, and the true target icon appears. These need to be verified as working. 2. I need suicid…

Got this in my email: April 17th, 2020 Dear fighter pilots, partners and friends, The global spread of COVID-19 is affecting every single one of us. We are a people-first company, and we believe that technology can change lives and give hope. To study the virus, protect the vulnerable and beat this thing requires that we all play a part. We want …

I ran into this remarkable option: Osprey E-books for free The way to get to them is explained in the article of "The Modelling News". I only couldn't find right now if the "Free" is indefinitely or for a period of time.

Install this on your computer and help researchers develop a vaccine by using your spare computer power:https://foldingathome.org/ Ok so here's a little primer on why this is important. Proteins are the nuts and bolts of everything that happens in every aspect of every life form that exists. Here's an analogy: Imagine taking your car and stripping it down to every last individual part - every nut, bolt, washer, piece of plastic that has a shape, wire, cable, circuit board, everything. If that car was an organism of any kind, every one of those parts would be a protein or a phospholipid bilayer or chemical compound of some kind. Proteins can be, g…

All, I received an email, as many of you likely have, that there will be a sort of "Coronavirus sale" on the developser's website and coupons will be issued out to players. Steam rules will not allow a Steam sale so suddenly. But, that's a pretty neat gesture from them. Apparently their team is affected by travel restrictions and they recognize that many people will likely be stuck at home, so why not play more IL-2? Very Respecfully, Archibald

For everyone who is into game design, 2D or 3D art, video editing, or coding: A website called 3dbuzz is shutting down and they’ve made their entire library of subscription tutorials and assets available to the public for free! https://www.3dbuzz.com/ They have tutorials, guides and examples on like RPG API Core, Python stuff, C++, C#, Unreal tournament map making and modding guides, Blender and Gimp. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Not sure if the tutorials will be relevant to anyone here but there will be twenty years of content lost when the site shuts down so I didn't want it to go by the wayside without giving a heads up. I saw some OpenGL tutoria…

Who else is excited for MSFS 2020? The videos look insane...and it turns out that those views are too good to be true on an offline machine. From what I've read, MSFS2020 will require streaming data to fully function, in excess of 25Mbps. This would be okay news except that I live in the country and have a 4G cellphone connect that tops out at 6 Mbps. Will, I be able to fly MSFS2020? I dunno! But it will suck if I cant. I would expect Microsoft to have preload options but who knows. I know a lot of you are dedicated combat pilots with less interest in Civ flight. What do y'all think about this?

Salute all! Starting this Thursday evening, we will be holding joint competition nights with our friendly rivals, the US103rd! Officially, things will start off at 8:00pm Central time alternating between the Wargrounds server and Cuban's server, although the US103rd may be on earlier if any East Coast guys want to join them. I will be live-streaming my "One Life to Live" series each Thursday, so most times I will be treating this as if it were a "dead-is-dead" type situation. Perfect for getting our squadron ready for Flanders in Flames! Hope to see you in the skies this Thursday! S! - Hotlead

Jason posted this in his Briefing Room: Posted January 22 Q. Jason when will you tell us if there will be another Flying Circus? Please? We love it and want more - it's awesome and I have told all my friends to buy it in the Official Webstore! A. No decision has been made yet. Infer from that what you will, but I cannot get into confidential info, my bosses would get quite angry. My desire is to always make more products, I create products, that's what I do. Any new products have to make business sense for not only us, but our partners who share in the work. The concept of FC1 presented an opportunity to take a larger than…
